At Demeter Fox ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Emek Studio, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Demeter Fox Android application (the "App"), this website, and support communications, how we use and share it, and the rights available to you.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
Your name and email address when you register with email and password or use Google Sign-In.
Usage and Preference Data
Your interactions with the App, content viewed, feature usage, and preferences such as your selected language.
Device and Security Information
Your device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, IP address, and language settings. We also use Firebase App Check, which produces a device-attestation signal to help confirm that requests come from a genuine, unmodified copy of the App and to prevent abuse.
VIP Purchase Information
Records of your All in One VIP purchase and subscription status. Payment-card information is processed and stored by Google Play, not by Demeter Fox.
Push Notifications
A device push token used to deliver notifications about matches, VIP content, and account activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your precise GPS location, phone number, physical address, contacts or phonebook, or camera and photo-library content. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- provide, maintain, and improve the App and website;
- create and manage your account and provide customer support;
- process and manage All in One VIP subscriptions;
- personalize content and language preferences;
- send push notifications that you have not disabled;
- verify authentic App requests and prevent fraud, misuse, or security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information to the following recipients when necessary:
- Firebase and Google Sign-In: for authentication, Firebase App Check, push notifications, security, and backend infrastructure.
- Google Play Billing and RevenueCat: to process and manage All in One VIP purchases and subscription status.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or a valid government request, or when necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and only for the services they provide.
5. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy or as required by law. You may delete your account from within the App or request deletion through our Delete Account page. Deletion removes the account and associated activity records from our active systems, subject to limited records that we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, or transaction purposes.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including Firebase Authentication and Firebase App Check. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Demeter Fox is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it promptly.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, request portability, or withdraw consent. To exercise a right, use the in-app deletion feature, visit our Delete Account page, or contact us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
9. GDPR (European Economic Area and United Kingdom)
If you are in the EEA or UK, our legal bases may include your consent, performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Service. You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or data portability and may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
10. CCPA / CPRA (California)
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request deletion; correct inaccurate information; and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for money or cross-context behavioral advertising and do not use sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those necessary to provide and secure the Service. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
11. CalOPPA
This Privacy Policy is publicly accessible and identifies its effective date above. You can review, request correction of, or request deletion of personal information through the methods described in this Policy. The App does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals because there is no accepted industry standard for how mobile applications should interpret them.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed using Google Cloud and Firebase infrastructure located outside your country. Where applicable, we and our service providers use safeguards designed to protect information transferred internationally in accordance with applicable law.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or legal requirements. The revised version will be posted here with a new date, and material changes may also be communicated through an in-app notice or email.
